Dear Hagemann Families,

Happy last official week of school!  Our last day is Wednesday, May 27th. It is hard to believe that our school year has come to an end and summer is beginning.  Though I know that this is not how we envisioned our last few months to have gone, I am proud of our students, teachers, and families during this time.  You have shown patience, resiliency, dedication, and love.  I am proud to be a Hagemann Hawk along side of all of you.  I plan to keep in touch over the summer as plans are created and developed.  I know that the district is working hard to get students back into buildings as soon as it is safe and are working on those plans over the entire summer.

A huge farewall to our teachers that are moving on from Hagemann.  You will always be a part of our story.  Also, love to all of our 5th grade students.  You are a wonderful group of students with such a bright future.  You are going to make us so proud in middle school and we plan to follow your journey.  This is not goodbye, rather, see you later.

Summer school will begin for families that are interested on June 1st.  The link to summer school information is in my newsletter below:

Also, here is information from Mrs. Kendrick and Mrs. Siroko that may support your family over the break:

Some reminders and additional information:

1- The talent show link will come out today!

2- We will be sending a farewell video from staff to students tomorrow.

3- Yearbooks are in and will be placed in your child's bag of supplies if you ordered.  We have a limited number of extras.  Please email Brenda Griffin at griffinb@msdr9.org to check availability if you still want one.

4- Once the district enters stage 2, I will schedule supply pick-up.  This will most likely be around mid-June.  We will schedule one hour pick-ups per grade level.  We will have as many classroom teachers there as possible during your grade level hour.  If you do not want to come back more than once for multiple children, you can pick up during one of the hours that works for you.  More information will come out to you once a plan and date are solidified.

5- All students will keep their chromebooks for the whole summer, including 5th graders.  The only exception is families that are moving.  A great time to give these back to us if you are moving is during supply pick-up.  If not, email me and we can set up a time.

6- Students in grades 3-5 were asked to take a Panorama survey around their thoughts around Virtual Learning.  Their password is their lunch code.  Here is the link: http://surveys.panoramaed.com/mehlville .

7- Grab and Go Meals will continue through June 30th.

8- Here is a parent resource on on-line safety that maybe helpful to you:  https://www.connectsafely.org/parentguides/

I wish you a relaxing, safe summer!  Please reach out to me throughout the summer will any questions.

Sincerely,

Julie Durham
